Build
Your own Band Saw or Chain Saw Mill
In the pursuit of
having my very own saw mill, I looked at various
kinds. The most popular on the market is the
Band Saw and then the Chain Saw Mill.
Being mechanical
included and always looking for ways to save money I
decided to build my own chain saw mill,
powered by a XP395 Husqvarna Chain Saw.
The steel and
parts costs a
little over $600.00 and the chain saw was around
$900.00 give or take a little.
The band saws
that I researched had a starting price of $2100.00.
This was the deciding factor in my decision.
Plus...When I'm not using the chain saw mill
I can always use the chain saw doing something else.
Here's a short
video clip of how the chain saw mill works.

Pro-Cut Plans
to build
this saw mill. The plans cost $119.00. The
Plains were easy to understand and easy to get the
job done. I don't mind investing in "How to" plans
when it will save me time and put another feather in
my hat.
The experience I learned from
building this chain saw mill was well worth the time
and money spent..
